Mainframe

An elite special forces soldier infiltrates a high-tech facility to destroy the mainframe. You are not the elite special forces soldier, you're the poor mainframe trying to defend itself. 

Spawn robots with left-mouse button. Robots cost points (bottom-right). You can choose which robot type to spawn, and upgrade their attack, health, and speed stats. 

You gain points over time, but you can click on XP gems from destroyed robots before the soldier reaches them to gain more points. If the soldier collects them he will level up and become faster and stronger.

Don't let the soldier reach you! i.e. you're the mainframe in the bottom-right corner of the map.

This is our entry for the TasGameJam 2024 ("Not the main character"). Maff initially thought Mainframe was a super original idea, but not only does Vampire No-Survivors (https://reaktori.itch.io/vampire-no-survivors) already exist, he'd actually heard about it and then totally forgotten. Hopefully this is different enough, though.

Notes:

• Will be very unhappy on Safari, or on mobile, and definitely on mobile Safari.
• Apologies for the fixed screen size - working on it!
